Overall description of workshop
This workshop is designed for massage therapists who want to add new techniques to their “sports massage toolbox” and refine techniques you may already know. You will learn how to meet the specific needs in recovery that athletes want and require. You will leave with a good understanding of sports massage, learn more about meeting the unique needs of very active individuals, and explore how to work for professional or collegiate sports teams.
Prerequisite for this class: Be a graduate of a massage therapy program that included techniques in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and basic anatomy and kinesiology.
Format: Presentation, discussion, and group and individual practice time. Breaks, with coffee / tea, snacks, refreshments will be provided.

Instructor: Curtis Hisao, CMT, BA, BBA
Curtis has more than 10 years experience teaching massage and developing massage curriculums for leading massage therapy schools. He has had his own private practice since 2003 and has been the lead massage therapist for the San Jose Earthquakes (Major League Soccer Team) since 2007. Before starting a career as massage therapist and massage therapy instructor, Curtis worked for 30 years in customer service.
Registration and Fees
Register before the early bird deadline and pay only $80. After the early bird deadline, you'll pay regular price, $100. This price includes a four-hour hands-on workshop in a small group with individual one-on-one mentoring to help you get the practice you need to start using your new techniques in your practice right away.

Payment in advance is required when you register each workshop. We accept all major credit cards through PayPal.
