Overall description of workshop
This workshop is designed for massage therapists who want to add new techniques to their “massage toolbox” and refine techniques they may already know.
The first in our “Integrated Massage Therapy” series of workshops offers a mix of teacher presentation, demonstration, discussion and (mostly) hands-on learning. Among other skills, you will learn a different way to approach a session for a client that requests “deep tissue” that results in both a relaxing and an effective therapeutic massage. You will also explore new techniques and flow and learn more about how to show your clients the results of your work.
Prerequisite for this class: Be a graduate of a massage therapy program that included techniques in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and basic anatomy and kinesiology.
Format: Presentation, discussion, and group and individual practice time. Breaks, with coffee / tea, snacks, refreshments will be provided.
Workshop Overview
The workshop will give you tools you need to get a job where deep tissue is requested or refine your skills with your private clients to increase your business.
The workshop consists of presentation time, exercises, group discussion and summary exercise. Breaks are built in for your comfort. WiFi is available.

Instructor: Curtis Hisao, CMT, BA, BBA
Curtis has more than 10 years experience teaching massage and developing massage curriculums for leading massage therapy schools. He has had his own private practice since 2003 and has been the lead massage therapist for the San Jose Earthquakes (Major League Soccer Team) since 2007. Before starting a career as massage therapist and massage therapy instructor, Curtis worked for 30 years in customer service.
Registration and Fees
Register before the early bird deadline and pay only $80. After the early bird deadline, you'll pay regular price, $100. This price includes a four-hour hands-on workshop in a small group with individual one-on-one mentoring to help you get the practice you need to start using your new techniques in your practice right away.

Payment in advance is required when you register each workshop. We accept all major credit cards through PayPal.
