Changing the position of the client is a powerful way to make your bodywork more effective. Side-lying positioning helps gain access to problem areas and is indicated for most pre-natal massage.
Overall description of workshop
This is a hands-on workshop that quickly reviews the basics, then guides through advanced side-lying massage techniques for the neck and shoulders. You will learn about pre- and post-massage evaluation, new techniques for supporting the client, and appropriate joint mobilization and static and dynamic streteching. New positiniong techniques will help add to your massage therapist "tool box" and allow you to better tune your sessions for your cleints.
Prerequisite for this class: Be a graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
Format: Presentation, discussion, and group and individual work time. Breaks, with juice, filtered water, snacks, refreshments will be provided.

The workshop consists of presentation time, exercises, group discussion and summary exercise. Breaks are built in for your comfort. WiFi is available.

Presenter: Gracia Arnold, CMT, NCTMB, Instructor. Gracia is currently a massage therapist at Google and also works as a part-time instructor at the National Holistic Institute in San Jose.
Registration and Fees
Register before the early bird deadline and pay only $80. After the early bird deadline, you'll pay regular price, $100. This price includes a four-hour hands-on workshop in a small group with individual one-on-one mentoring to help you get a solid start on your marketing plan. It also includes the marketing strategy rubric, presentation handout, marketing plan template and worksheets and more.

Payment in advance is required when you register each workshop. We accept all major credit cards through PayPal.
